1. Joe’s Bar & Grill

Take it the wide view of saltwater marshes for trendy dishes in a casual setting at Joe’s Bar & Grill. Famous for seafood and steak, cooked to perfection, Joe’s has beautiful outdoor seating and a terrific wine list. Try a delicious appetizer of clams, ribs, or shrimp and grits.

MUST-TRY DISH: Local South Carolina clams, sauteed in white wine, butter, and garlic.


2. RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar

Another spot with a great view, fun atmosphere, and delicious American fare. You just might have the best meal you’ve ever experienced in Myrtle Beach at RipTydz Grille. Good value, excellent service, unbeatable views, and drinks, and calamari you won’t soon forget.

MUST-TRY DISH: The Rip Tyde seafood tower, with crab, lobster, oysters, and more.

3. Nacho Hippo

A Tex-Mex favorite, Nacho Hippo serves some of the most awesome food in town. You’ll get fast, friendly service, an in-house DJ, and the $3 margarita special is tough to beat. It’s not difficult to understand how this has become THE spot for travelers and locals alike.

MUST-TRY DISH: Day after nachos, with taco beef, black beans, queso, pico, and more.



4. Banditos Cantina

A small but mighty oceanfront spot, Banditos Cantina brings a casual vibe with delicious burritos, enchiladas, tacos, and more. It’s a rad, adorable restaurant with top-notch staff and bartenders and queso dip that’ll stop you in your tracks.

MUST-TRY DISH: The Bandito taco: chicken, queso, lettuce, chotija, and avocado crema.

5. Tin Roof

Tin Roof is a tad flamboyant grub pub, with Southern eats and live music on the rooftop. This loveable stop brings the Myrtle Beach vibe, with an astonishing drink selection and courteous staff. Bound to become part of your vacation routine, especially for a happy hour escape.

MUST-TRY DISH: Loaded tots, with queso, bacon, ranch, scallion, and rib rub.


6. Hook & Barrell

A fashionable, nautical-themed local seafood joint, Hook & Barrel serves wine and spirits, a marvelous happy hour, and Sunday brunch. Known for impeccable service, this restaurant serves an amazing she crab soup and H&B shrimp cocktail.

MUST-TRY DISH: Honey soy glazed salmon, with creamy Carolina gold rice risotto.

7. Fire & Smoke

This Myrtle Beach gastropub serves handcrafted cocktails and chic American snacks, small plates, and entrees. Fire & Smoke is a hidden treasure, a family-owned eatery with a menu prepped fresh and smoked to perfection. Wine recommendations are on point, too.

MUST-TRY DISH: Nantucket Bay scallops, flash seared with roasted tomato risotto.

A perfect stop for appetizers and drinks, Dunes Bistro is the kind of place where your glass never goes empty and your table never goes uncleared. Order distinctive dishes such as filet tips with stuffed rigatoni, blackened shrimp, and sushi rolls.
