Carnival rides, games, exhibits, funnel cakes (along with a lengthy list of other fun — and mostly fried — fair foods), live entertainment, even racing pigs and a petting zoo — nowhere but the county fair can you find this unique mix of fun and family-friendly activities. And from April 20th through the 29th, the 3rd Annual Horry County Fair will bring all of these attractions and more to the Myrtle Beach Speedway.
For 10 days, the speedway grounds will come alive with the sights, sounds and activities found only at the carnival. On most days, fair admission is $5 for adults, $3 for military members and seniors, and $3 for kids ages 5-11. (Kids 4 and under are always free!) Also on most days, all-you-can-ride wristbands are available for $25. But be on the lookout (or just read on) — bargain-hunting attendees can catch some special deals on certain days of the event. Here’s the schedule for the 2018 edition of the Horry County Fair:
Friday, April 20 — Grand Opening: Be among the first to experience the 2018 Horry County Fair! Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Saturday, April 21 — Family Fun Night: Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Sunday, April 22 — Hospitality Day: Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Monday, April 23 — Monday Funday: Special rates are offered, making unlimited-ride wristbands available for just $10 and kids’ admission reduced to $2. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Tuesday, April 24: The savings continue with unlimited-ride wristbands available for just $10 and kids’ admission reduced to $2. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Wednesday, April 25 — Senior Citizen Night: Senior citizens (ages 65 and up) are admitted to the fair at no charge, while the adult admission price is reduced to $2. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Thursday, April 26 — Ladies Night: Gates open at 5 p.m., and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Friday, April 27 — Local Students Night: Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Saturday, April 28 — A Day at the Fair: Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through 11 p.m.
Sunday, April 29 — Last Chance Day: Gates open at noon, and the fun continues through close.
