Fun New Things in Myrtle Beach for 2021

New Year, new fun. Myrtle Beach has tons of fun year after year anyway. But 2021 has some cool additions to the scene and dates on the calendar, too. No matter what you travel here for, there’s something for everyone.

Here are a few we are looking forward to.

ATTRACTIONS

This North Myrtle Beach gem was once a wedding chapel. Today, it’s an opulent bar. With indoor and outdoor seating, Bar 19 Twelve serves unique cocktails and appetizers.

Crooked Hammock

Now open in Barefoot Landing, come enjoy a unique restaurant with a backyard beer garden. It’s an escape for all ages, featuring craft beer and indoor-outdoor seating. It comes complete with bocce ball courts, corn hole, fire pits, hammocks, a playground, and a lake view bar.

Take a few steps off the beach on 14th Avenue to visit this incredible new park. Made for families and thrill-seekers, Funplex has rides, a walk-up bar, and a restaurant. Mach Fun is the tallest interactive 360-degree jet simulator ever, and you can ride it this spring.

Beer

A downtown undergoing a revitalization will soon have a flagship destination: Grand Strand Brewing Company is coming to the Nance Plaza. Its taproom will feature handmade beers. A small, on-site commercial kitchen will host local chefs. Grand Strand should open by spring.

Hotworx brings benefits of infrared heat absorption to Myrtle Beach. Choose a 30-minute isometric workout or a 15-minute high-intensity interval training session — both speed up detoxification by removing toxins in your body through muscle contraction.

Exercise Equipment
Surfworks

Surfers, this one is for you. South Carolina’s first man-made surf park is coming to Myrtle Beach in spring of 2022. It will feature wave pools for all skill levels, including advanced surfers.

It’s now open for dinner, drinks, and uncommon live music. Join them every night for crafty cocktails, delicious food, and live entertainment. Make a song request for the piano while you’re at this beautiful upscale establishment.

This summer, visit Broadway at the Beach for the excitement of world-class acrobatics. A reopening will feature amazing, death-defying stunts in a spacious, air-conditioned tent. It’s a grand production with exceptional talent. Don’t miss this show, June through October.
