Fall Festivals Bring Big Flavors to Myrtle Beach

Vacationers with great tastes love to stay at the Caribbean Resort, especially those with great taste buds. In addition to being within one block of two of the highest-rated Myrtle Beach restaurants – the Sea Captain's House and New York Prime – the Caribbean is also your place to stay for all the fall festivals on the Grand Strand, including food events.

For all the festivals held in the fall, two of the culinary highlights of the year take place less than one mile of the resort. You can take a relaxing beach getaway to the comfortable accommodations and outstanding amenities of the Caribbean while also tasting the best dishes from many of the best restaurants on the Grand Strand at these festivals.

Experience the flavorful fare at the Fifth Annual Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival at Broadway at the Beach's Celebrity Square district over Labor Day weekend. The new date and venue give a fresh feel to the festival, which includes tasting sessions of dishes prepared by local chefs, live music on the main stage, and beer, wine and spirits in the beer garden. Themes include Moonshine Mixology and Chocolate Under the Moon on Friday, Brews 'N The Beach Craft Beer on Saturday, and the Grand Tasting Event on Sunday. If you can make a midweek trip, you owe it to yourself to check out the 32nd Annual Taste of the Town Festival at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Dozens of restaurants serve their award-winning creations and compete for the Taste of the Town title in various categories. The fundraiser features food tickets for $1, with average samples costing about $3, along with raffles, live music, a kids area and beer garden.
