New South Brewing Offering Weekly Tours of Myrtle Beach Microbrewery

Attention beer lovers: Are you thirsty for something different to do on your Myrtle vacation this year? New South Brewing, a prominent microbrewery located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, is now welcoming visitors for a full-guided tour around the facility!

Founded in 1998, New South Brewing has been a key player in helping to usher world-class beers and brewing traditions to the Grand Strand, handcrafting ales and lagers for beer lovers looking for something a little different than your typical silver bullet. Now, not only can you purchase a pint of the India Pale Ale or Oktoberfest amber lager at many of the local establishments along the Grand Strand, but you can also tour the brewery where these beers are made.

In addition to its growing acclaim around the Grand Strand, New South Brewing has accrued a few awards over the past decade. Just a year after its evolution, New South Brewing won a gold medal at the 1999 Great American Beer fest for its signature Oktoberfest brew, and has also garnered gold medals for its New South Premium Lager and English Pale Ale. If that doesn’t warm up your beer taste buds, New South Brewing was named Trip Advisor’s Top 10 American Brewery Tours last fall.

Free full tours are offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 p.m., with the addition of Draught Pour Tours, which took flight this summer. Draught Pour Tours are every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday starting at 4:30 p.m. For those who want to relax, sip on a delicious brew and get an exclusive inside look at the brewery, this is the tour for you.

The Draught Pour Tours offer a closer look into how the notorious beers are made, while also offering complimentary samples of different brews. Each tour offers a chance to try a half dozen samples of New South beers, including White Ale, Nut Brown Ale, Dark Star Porter, Double Dry-Hopped IPA and more. You’ll be able to touch the various types of grains used in the brewing process as well as get a closer look at the brewery’s non-automated canning machine, and of course you’ll have a chance to pick up some six packs, T-shirts and other beer merchandise.

New South Brewing is located about a 10-minute drive from Caribbean Resort and welcomes walk-ins. It’s a great place for groups to learn about one of America’s oldest pastimes. For more information, you can call 843-916-2337 or visit www.newsouthbrewing.com.
