Tournament to Benefit Scholarship Programs and Music Education at North Myrtle Beach High School

The Long Bay Golf Club will host the inaugural “Golf Fore Education” tournament on Saturday, February 2nd. Presented by The Golf Gurus of Myrtle Beach and SunCruz Casinos, the captain’s choice tournament is open to both individuals and four-person teams and will begin with an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start.

An awards ceremony will follow the completion of play with prizes to be awarded to the first-place, second-place, third-place and last-place teams as well as winners of the hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin and long drive contests. Golfers can also purchase raffle tickets for a wide assortment of prizes. Food and drink will be served throughout the day with heavy hors d’oeuvres after golf.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit North Myrtle Beach High School with 50 percent of the contributions given to scholarship programs for graduating seniors and the remainder donated to the North Myrtle Beach High School Band to help support music education. All contributions are tax-deductible with single entry fees of $100 and four-person teams priced at $400. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $100.

A participants’ reception will be held on Friday, February 1st at the SunCruz Casinos in Little River, starting at 5:30 p.m. Hors d’ouevres, drinks and gift bags will be provided for all participants, as well as a short clinic by head golf professionals from The Myrtle Beach National Company. “Thank you to The Long Bay Golf Club, The Myrtle Beach National Company and SunCruz Casinos for helping us host this fundraiser for the students of North Myrtle Beach High School,” said Kish Gohil, one of the owners of Golf Gurus of Myrtle Beach. “This is a great opportunity to help raise money for hard-working students while enjoying one of Myrtle Beach’s finest golf courses."
