Visiting Caribbean Resort This Winter? There’s Tons to do in Myrtle Beach!
The beach in the winter … talk about peace and tranquility! We absolutely love the beach in wintertime, but just because it’s peaceful doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to do. In fact, it’s a great time to visit, because most of the best attractions are still open, but without crowds and the lines.
Here are a few of our top picks for what to do when you visit Caribbean Resort in the winter:
Winter in Myrtle Beach is a prime time for golf! You can get great tee times, the weather is mild, and you won’t spend a lot of time waiting, since the courses are rarely full. The winter is also one of the driest seasons here, so your chances of getting rained out are even lower than they are in late summer!
Winter is the perfect time for shopping, just beware that a few of the area shopping centers close a little bit earlier in the winter. But the early bird gets the worm, and early shoppers will find great deals at the Tanger outlets in Myrtle Beach, as well as at Coastal Grand Mall and our favorite shopping experience in Myrtle Beach, The Market Common.
The winter shows in Myrtle Beach are a real treat. We especially love the holiday offerings from The Carolina Opry and Alabama Theatre. Many locals and visitors to the area see the Christmas shows every year to see what’s new and delight in old favorites.
• Walking and biking the Boardwalk
You can walk the oceanfront boardwalk any time of year in Myrtle Beach, but we especially love it in the winter, when it’s not crowded. And while bicycles are prohibited on the boardwalk in the summer due to crowds, they’re allowed in the off-season.
These are just a few of our favorite things. We haven’t even touched on long strolls on the beach! But regardless of what you do when you’re here, you’re sure to find that Myrtle Beach offers peace and fun all winter long.
