The fall is all about football in the South, but there are still a few places in America that keep up with America's pastime. Particularly the Fall Classic, Major League Baseball's biggest time of year with the American and National League Playoffs and the World Series.

Myrtle Beach may be a bit guilty of falling head over heels for football before the baseball season has run its course, but visitors who prefer baseball can still find some great places to watch the Grand Ole Game on the Grand Strand. Exactly where may depend on which teams make the playoffs.

Because so many people move to the Myrtle Beach area from other cities and bring their baseball allegiances along with them, sports bars and restaurants that cater to those crowds tend to go all out when their hometown teams make the postseason. Bars frequented by fans of the Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox and Cardinals have held celebrations for their teams over recent years.

But no matter which teams advance to the playoffs and eventually the World Series this season, there are a few mainstays where baseball enthusiasts are sure to find fellow fans to root, root, root for the home team, even if there happens to be a big football game going on at the same time. Here are four places where you can cover all your bases places come playoff time:

  • Broadway Louie's: This Broadway at the Beach mega-sports bar has the crowds and the TVs to give baseball fans their own space amid rabid football fans. Featuring wall-to-wall TVs on the sports bar side and regular drink and food specials, Broadway Louie's is the one can't-miss sports bar on the Grand Strand where you can get any game at any time. Out-of-towners gather here because of its popular location so you are sure to experience a fun and active game-day atmosphere. Be sure to hit the adjoining arcade and play some high-tech games during the rain delays.

  • Cleat Chasers: Baseball fans are known to gather at this Carolina Forest/Conway hot spot, which is located near the Coastal Carolina University campus. Fans gather to cheer on the hometown Chanticleers during the college baseball season, and when the big-league boys battle for a World Series ring in the fall. There are plenty of TVs and cold drinks to get fans into the spirit, but the food at Cleat Chasers adds to the appeal. Enjoy a meal and root for your team with baseball fans with a love of the game.

  • Overtime Sports Cafe: This North Myrtle Beach institution is like a sports museum, ideal for baseball purists.
