With more than 1,700 restaurants on the Grand Strand, you could go to one every day for nearly five years before you go back to the same spot for seconds. But as tasty as that experience might be, no one has that much time for sampling. That's one reason for the Second Annual Myrtle Beach Restaurant Week, which will be held Jan. 7-17.
Designed to highlight some of the Grand Strand’s top eateries, Myrtle Beach Restaurant Week’s debut was so well received that it is back by popular demand and even bigger and better the second time around. The extended days and increased participation allows diners to try some of the best cuisine on the Grand Strand with special prix fixe menus every night. Here is our list of the 11 participating restaurants (one per day) you should check out for Restaurant Week, or for that matter, any time of year:
Brentwood House Restaurant and Wine Bistro: Located in Little River in an old Victorian-style home, the Brentwood House features French cuisine in a formal setting. The upscale establishment will offer its four-course feasts for a special price during Restaurant Week.
Cafe Amalfi: This Italian bistro offers an excellent ocean view as well as great Italian cuisine. Located at the Hilton Myrtle Beach, the menus will feature nightly specials and a wide selection of wines.
Castrano's Italian Steakhouse: This Barefoot Landing eatery offers a $30 three-course meal with options of the award-winning She Crab Soup and Mixed Green Salad, a choice of four entrees (lamb, salmon, filet or the house special Chicken Marsala) and dessert.
Crady's Eclectic Cuisine: This unique eatery is worth the 15-mile drive to downtown Conway. Offering a prix fixe menu of some of their most popular specials, Crady's is sure to serve some mind-blowing dishes for this event. Be sure to check out the historic downtown district and RiverWalk Park.
Croissants Bistro & Bakery: Located just a few blocks from the Caribbean, this European-style establishment offers a three-course feat for $30. Among your picks are Apricot Glazed Flounder, Grilled Pork Tenderloin and the house favorite Bistro Chicken.
Ducatis Pizzeria & Trattoria: This Italian restaurant is one of the few participants open for lunch and dinner. Ducatis is famous for its pizza but will also highlight some of its more popular dishes.
Parson's Table: Located in an old house in Little River, this upscale establishment is as famous for its decor as it is for its award-winning cuisine, and that's saying something.
Ruth's Chris: This national chain serves some of the best steaks in the world. Based on a legendary New Orleans steakhouse, you won't go home hungry with this special menu.
Sam Snead's Oak Grill & Tavern: Legendary golfer Sam Snead was known for his sweet swing, but he's also gaining a reputation for the food at his namesake restaurant. Try some of “Swinging Sammy's” favorites on the menu.
Vintage Twelve: This place takes fine dining to the next level with creative dishes and award-winning concoctions. Be sure to make reservations if you want to try this hot spot.
Waterscapes at the Marina Inn: Enjoy excellent cuisine while taking in an incredible view of the Grande Dunes Marina and the Intracoastal Waterway. Watch yachts sail past while the sun sets over the river and get ready for a tasty feast of three courses of WaterScapes’ best creations.
These delicious Restaurant Week specials may make it hard for you to choose which ones to attend. But no matter where you decide, be sure to end the night back in the lap of luxury at the Caribbean Resort.
