No Car, No Problem: Destinations Within Walking Distance of The Caribbean Myrtle Beach Resort

Not everyone who visits Myrtle Beach brings a car — and even when they do, some visitors don’t want to do much driving. For those who stay at The Caribbean Resort, no car is no problem because there are many places and activities within walking distance. Slip on your favorite pair of shoes and check out these nearby destinations.

Children’s Museum of South Carolina: What an awesome place to take the kids! The Children’s Museum is designed with kids in mind. They can spend the whole day there letting their imagination and creativity blossom. Gem mining, fossil digging, colossal construction and many more activities are available to strike your children’s fancy.

Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf: This is a great place to take the family for a round of exhilarating miniature golf. Challenge each other as you attempt to hole it out on these crazy and tricky holes. Who will be champ in your family? Let the putting fun begin.  

Three Great Restaurants: You can walk on down to Ultimate California Pizza and get some of the best pizza in town. They have awesome wings, pasta and sandwiches to fulfill anyone’s appetite. If you are craving a remarkable cheeseburger, then River City Café is your filling station. You can get all your favorite toppings plus some you may have never thought of before. This is one of the best burgers on the beach. If it’s seafood you want, then head up 29th Ave N. for Bennett’s Calabash Seafood Buffet. Bring your appetite and enjoy.

Green’s Discount Beverage: Specializing in all your adult-beverage needs, this place is just a short walk away from The Caribbean. If you like to drink it, they probably have it. If not, they should be able to find it.

Rite Aid: If you need any last-minute items that you might have forgotten to pack, such as sunscreen, toiletries or treats for the kids, then this drug store has you covered. Also, there is a pharmacy located inside in case you need to get your prescriptions filled.

Ben & Jerry’s and Starbucks: Right across the street from The Caribbean, you can beat the heat with some magnificent flavors of ice cream offered only by Ben & Jerry’s. You know your favorite flavor is waiting for you. After watching the gorgeous sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, swing by Starbucks for your morning java ritual. They have all your coffee and tea needs covered.

Sea Captain’s House: Located right next door, this restaurant allows you to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner while dining oceanfront. Their food is magnificent, and their service is some of the best in Myrtle Beach. They have a delectable dessert menu and a very pleasing children’s menu for the kids. Most guests of The Caribbean rave about their wonderful breakfast and the amazing omelet bar. You could eat here every day of the week, try something different, and never be disappointed.

A Residential Stroll: One of the unique aspects of The Caribbean is that it is situated beside a beautiful and historical residential community. Take a nice, slow walk up the beach and enjoy the sights of some of the most wonderful and beautiful beach houses around. These houses truly have one of the finest views in the world, and you can enjoy it as well.
