Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally Offers Fun on the Beach and the Road

Just as the autumn in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is milder and quieter than the heat and rush of summer, the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally is a more laid-back version of the popular Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally in May. But for those who like to kick their heels up on the beach and on their bikes, there's no better time to visit than the fall.

Held Oct. 2-8 at points spread throughout the Grand Strand, the 60-mile stretch of Carolina coastline that surrounds and includes Myrtle Beach, the Fall Rally provides motorcycle enthusiasts who prefer life in the slightly slower lane with a fun-filled week of festivities. Come with friends or make new ones as bikers from all over the Southeast and Eastern Seaboard make the trip to experience the magic carpet ride of cruising down the coast in the crisp autumn air.

While many bikers enjoy the larger and louder crowds of the Spring Rally, others prefer the perfect riding conditions of the Fall Rally – which boasts lower heat and humidity, less traffic congestion and a cooler vibe. Sure, the Fall Rally has its share of loud and rowdy fun, such as biker bars with burnout pits, live music and poker runs. But the overall atmosphere is geared toward bikers who love to ride along the Carolina seaside and also relax in luxury at The Caribbean Resort & Villas.

Located on the oceanfront at the northernmost point of “The Strip,” The Caribbean provides the perfect place to unwind after spending time on a bike. Guests can soak up some sun on the beach and take a dip in our indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs and lazy river, or hop on their bikes and hit the road. Go south and cruise down Ocean Boulevard past all the sights and sounds of downtown, or go north and check out Myrtle Beach's “Golden Mile” of historic beach homes.

For bikers who want to cover more ground and explore everything the Grand Strand has to offer, The Caribbean is the ultimate starting and stopping point. Our central location allows guests to hit all the highlights of Myrtle Beach within a short distance – like Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk – as well as merge into the traffic loops on the North and South Strand. Our close proximity to Highways 17, 22, 31 and 501 makes it a breeze to take a ride.

The North Loop runs from Myrtle Beach to North Myrtle Beach, Little River and across the state line to Sunset Beach and Calabash, North Carolina, which is nicknamed the “Seafood Capital of the World.” The Alabama Theatre and House of Blues at Barefoot Landing are established gathering spots for bikers to start group rides to the north end, including scenic side trips to Bird Island and Ocean Isle Beach. For a longer excursion, continue on to Wilmington (about 70 miles north of Myrtle Beach) and visit the Battleship North Carolina on the Cape Fear River and the historic shops and cafes on the downtown waterfront.

The South Loop runs along Kings Highway from Myrtle Beach to Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet, which serves as the unofficial headquarters for the Fall Rally. Known as the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina,” Murrells Inlet transforms from sleepy little fishing village to party central for the Fall Rally. Big parties are held at the Beaver Bar, SBB and Spokes & Bones, which boasts a 6-acre property with bands playing on three stages, burnout pits and biker games. Head farther south to the “arrogantly shabby” resort town of Pawleys Island and the historic plantations of Georgetown.

Book your plans to attend the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally today by making your reservations at The Caribbean Resort & Villas. It’s the best way to experience the Grand Strand in the fall.
