Keeping children entertained during your Myrtle Beach vacation can be difficult. After all, you can only spend so much time and money shuttling the kids all over town to water parks and putt-putt courses.
That’s one more reason it pays to stay and play at The Caribbean Resort. Designed with family vacations in mind, The Caribbean Resort Kids Club offers five days of fun-filled games and activities for the little ones without leaving the property and without spending a fortune. In fact, the majority of Kids Club events are free.
The Caribbean Resort in Myrtle Beach, located on the northern end of the Ocean Boulevard strip, already offers a wide range of amenities that are sure to keep the kids wet and happy, like the oceanfront aquatic playground featuring waterslides and a large swimming pool and the pools and lazy river on the back lawn. But The Caribbean goes the extra mile by offering Kids Club activities that will allow them to mix and mingle with other guests their ages while the parents get a little time to themselves or join in on the fun.
Begin the week with a meet and greet of The Caribbean’s friendly and responsible staff that will be coordinating events from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Guests are encouraged to peruse the list daily and weekly Kids Club activities and sign your young ones up for the events that interest them the most. The itinerary is subject to change, but often includes entertaining games like the water-balloon toss, relay races and sand-castle building contests, as well as arts and crafts activities like decorating your own beach bucket, sea-shell hunting and friendship bracelet-making. Other activities that may require a small fee include design-your-own tie-dye T-shirt and make-your-own ice-cream sundae socials. Highlight events include a weekly magic show, bingo games and a kids karaoke contest held on the pool deck.
But the most popular event of the week comes on Tuesday and Thursday nights as The Caribbean Kids Club holds Parents Night Out. Let the kids gather for a fun night of movies, popcorn and pizza at the resort while the parents get a couple of hours of “we” time. For only $10 per child, the kids can eat and have good time while the folks enjoy a nice dinner next door at the world-famous Sea Captain’s House.
The Caribbean Resort Kids Club activities are designed for ages 5 and up. Daily signups are held at noon each day and some events are limited to the first 15 children who register.
