Broadway At The Beach - Coca-Cola Summer Nights Concert Series

Whether it is live music or strolling entertainers, visitors to the 350-acre business complex Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, S.C., has something for everyone. For starters, there are more than 25 eateries and a hundred specialty shops.

But many times throughout the day, there are free attractions and live music that are part of the Coca-Cola Summer Nights that will run through Sept. 2. The action usually is centered on the Coca-Cola Stage in Heroes Harbor, at the center of everything at Broadway at the Beach.

The flurry of free entertainment includes “The Bryan Dangerous Comedy Show” each night at 9 p.m., with its family-friendly interactive comedy juggling show set to high-energy music.

The music is plentiful and diverse too. Tribute bands will perform at 5:30 p.m. each Monday on the Coca-Cola stage. And there is a nightly Patio Concert at the outdoor stage at the Hard Rock Café.

The Coca-Cola Stage will also showcase entertainers from this summer’s successful “Rock Around the Clock” Show” each Thursday evening at 7:15 p.m., as performers give visitors a small taste of what is in store at The Palace Theatre, just a few blocks away.

Other performers with a kids theme from The Palace Theatre are on hand as well on Tuesdays and Fridays. Mr. Nigel and Friends, a real kid-friendly band, appears from 11 a.m. to 12 noon each week at the Center Court Bridge area, while Dizzy the Clown makes an appearance there from 6:30 to 7 p.m. each Friday.

There will also be fireworks over the 23-acre Lake Broadway at 10 p.m. each Tuesday. There are more than 50 free acts in all, and some of them will perform several times a week through the summer.

“We area delighted to have such a great lineup of entertainment for Coca-Cola Summer nights this year,” said Melissa Armstrong, marketing director for Broadway at the Beach. “Broadway at the Beach hosts millions of visitors each year and we want them all to leave Broadway having had the most fun and best experience ever.”

Broadway at the Beach is a $250-million festival and entertainment complex that is the largest of its kind in South Carolina. It was recognized as the state’s best travel destination by the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.  More than 14 million people visit Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach each year, making it the region’s most popular destination.
